Denise Wilhemine Emmons of Hilton Head Island, SC., Age 70, passed into an eternal sleep while at her home on February 12, 2007. She was with her loving husband of 48 years, Raymond H. Emmons of Hilton Head Island. She now rests in the arms of her angel, her beloved son Stephen C. Emmons of Hilton Head, who preceded her in death in November of 2005. Denise was born in Flawinne, Belgium on January 2, 1937, daughter of Victor Henry Deffense and Wilemine Van Raidfll. She came to United States as the wife of a Military man in 1958 and soon became a proud citizen of the United States. However, her greatest joy was her family. A devoted wife and loving mother of one daughter and son and the proud grandmother of one granddaughter. Christmas was her favorite time of year because she knew that she could always count on her family coming together to share in the festivities. There was an undeniable glow about her whenever her family was around and it is this glow that will continue to shine forever in the hearts and soul of those who have loved her and those who have survived her; husband Raymond, daughter, Glenda Burg of Harrison Township, MI; granddaughter, Joselle Johnston of Hilton Head, sisters, Hellen and Corrine of Belgium.
